Calendar

The Calendar is a day-by-day casino reward structure built on consecutive visits. How it works, how Lumio runs it, and what Plus, Pro and Ultra unlock.

The Calendar is a day-by-day reward structure built around consecutive visits. Your players open a visual calendar, claim today's reward with a single tap, and can see what is waiting for them further down the line. That last part is the whole point. A player who can see what is coming has a concrete reason to come back tomorrow.

What is a Calendar in an online casino?

A Calendar is a day-by-day reward structure built around consecutive visits. The player opens it, claims the day's reward, and can see the rewards lined up in the days ahead, which builds anticipation and gives a concrete reason to return every single day.

Each day can unlock something different: free spins, cash, loyalty points, tournament access, or jackpot tickets.

What does the player actually see?

A visual calendar, with today's reward ready to claim and the days ahead laid out in front of them. Claiming takes a single tap.

Further along the calendar sit milestone rewards. These are visible in advance, which gives the player a larger goal to work toward. Maintaining a streak or collecting enough days qualifies the player for bigger prizes, such as a grand draw or a major reward at the end of the cycle.

Why does a Calendar matter to you as an Owner?

Because it turns every day into a scheduled visit. An offer a player can ignore costs them nothing to ignore. A Calendar is different: absence has a tangible cost, in the shape of a missed reward, a broken streak, or a milestone slipping away.

What happens if a player misses a day?

That is your call. Missed-day rules are configurable per casino: streaks can break, recover, or simply pause.

Those three options produce genuinely different calendars. A breaking streak makes each day carry weight. A pause holds the player's progress while they are away. Neither is the right answer in general, and it depends on the players you actually have.

You are also not stuck with a single calendar for everyone. Different player segments can see different calendar variants.

How does Lumio run the Calendar?

Lumio works from your casino's own data and recommends how the Calendar should be shaped: how long it runs, how the rewards are paced, and where the milestones sit. It also identifies which of your segments benefit most from a streak structure.

From there it presents you with promotion options. A seasonal calendar to anchor a campaign period, for example, or a short-cycle calendar aimed at re-establishing visit habits among players who recently lapsed. You choose what runs.

Which instrument is the right one at a given moment is not a property of the Calendar, and this page cannot answer it for you. A Calendar, a bonus and every other engagement tool are alternatives, and picking between them is a per-player, per-context decision. That is Lumio's job, not the feature's. See Lumio for more.

How does the Calendar work with your other engagement tools?

A Calendar day can hand the player straight into another feature. It can grant tournament access (see Tournaments), jackpot tickets (see Meta Jackpot), loyalty points (see Loyalty), or a Wheel Spin (see Wheel of Fortune).

Those are examples, not a complete list. The useful thing here is that the Calendar does not have to be the destination. It can be what puts a player in front of whatever you want them to try next. The full set of tools sits on the engagement tools page.

What do Plus, Pro and Ultra include?

Each tier unlocks a slice of what the Calendar can do.

TierWhat you get
PlusA generic monthly calendar offering daily freebies and on-deposit rewards. This is the daily claim structure.
ProEverything in Plus. On most days, the player picks between two different rewards, which adds player agency.
UltraEverything in Pro. Fully themed visual maps for major holiday events: Easter, Valentine's, Halloween, Winter and Summer.

The tiers are covered on the pricing page.

What is the Calendar not?

The Calendar rewards showing up. That is its job, and it is worth being clear about the jobs it does not do.

It is not a claim race, so it does not reward being fast. It is not a mission with a performance goal, so it does not ask the player to hit a target. Those are different jobs with different tools behind them: see Airdrop and Challenge.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What happens if a player misses a day?

That depends on how you set it up. Missed-day rules are configurable per casino, so a streak can break, recover, or simply pause. Those three choices give you very different calendars. With a breaking streak, absence has a real cost and the player knows it. With a pause, the player keeps their progress while they are away. Pick the one that suits the players you actually have.

What can a Calendar day give the player?

A day can unlock free spins, cash, loyalty points, tournament access or jackpot tickets, and each day can be different from the last. A Calendar day can also feed other features by granting a Wheel Spin, tournament entry or jackpot tickets. Those are examples rather than a complete list. Milestone rewards sit further along the calendar and can qualify a player for a bigger prize, such as a grand draw at the end of a cycle.

Do all my players see the same calendar?

No. Different player segments can see different calendar variants, so you are not locked into one calendar for your whole player base. Lumio identifies which segments benefit most from a streak structure and presents you with options, for example a short-cycle calendar aimed at players who recently lapsed. You decide which of those options actually runs on your casino.

What is the difference between Plus, Pro and Ultra for the Calendar?

Plus gives you a generic monthly calendar with daily freebies and on-deposit rewards, which is the daily claim structure. Pro adds everything in Plus plus daily reward choice: on most days the player picks between two different rewards. Ultra adds everything in Pro plus fully themed visual maps for major holiday events: Easter, Valentine's, Halloween, Winter and Summer.

Is a Calendar better than running a bonus?

There is no fixed answer. A Calendar, a bonus and the other engagement tools are alternative instruments, and which one fits is a per-player, per-context decision rather than a property of any one of them. That decision belongs to Lumio, which works from your casino's own data and presents you with options. The honest answer to "which is better" is that it depends on the player and the moment.
